Anyone Applied for Fall 2010 at CCBC

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

I have applied for Fall 2010 and received a pink card stated that the application has been processed. I can't wait to see what the outcome will be. Im very anxious to know if I will be attending CCBC this Fall. Anyone applied for Fall 2010 at CCBC?

Vinedancer/Gayle,

The big red X may come up because I don't think you can register for it online. I had to go on campus and fill out a registration form, then get the Nursing Dept (Peggy Whipp) to sign off on it. I think they are open until 4:30pm everyday (Nursing Dept). Give them a call - number is on the letter - to check to see if that is the normal process. Good Luck!

I have 3 kids, so I know what you mean! Even though 1 is in college and 1 is graduating from HS this year, its still a lot to juggle..plus working full-time!

Thanks so much! I have two in college and 2 still in high school and one graduated from culinary arts! A lot to keep track of.

My name is Bridget also! I'm online/hybrid at Catonsville. My orientation is on June 3rd. I didn't know we could sign up for the dosage now. So, we just go in and have them sign-off on it? I don't work, but I have six kids. We teach them at home. Are there different times for the online orientation or are we all on the same day?

Bridget (with 1 T)...

I don't know about you, but it is rare that I meet other Bridgett's. What are the chances that we are both in the online/hybrid? This ought to be fun! Wouldn't it be hysterical if we look alike too! LOL!

Anywho...yes, you can sign up for dosage now, but I am pretty sure you have to go on campus to get the Nursing Dept to sign off on it - at least that's what I had to do. You should probably try to get into one of the CPR classes too. That does NOT need sign off and you can call the number on the letter to register.

Look forward to meeting at orientation!

Bridgett (with 2 T's) :)

Bridgett, it would be too funny if we looked alike! However, I've had a bad case of housewifeitis over the years and its showing in my hips! This would be a first time for me to have another Bridget in any class or situation!

Bridget,

Well...even if we don't look alike, I think we will get along just fine...I see we have the same sense of humor! LOL! While you may suffer from housewifitis...I suffer from workfromhomitis! Feel free to keep me in your email [email protected].

Also, meant to tell you and Gayle, that I started a Facebook Page for CCBC Nursing Online/Hybrid - Class of 2012. I haven't done a thing with it, just opened the page - so don't expect much if you join.

See you at Orientation!

I signed up online for the dosage class at Essex (I am in online/hybrid Catonsville). I didn't have to have anyone sign off for me. This Sunday at Essex is a CPR class. Can't wait to put that behind me.

Gayle

I called the Essex campus and they said Records & Reg has a list of the new nursing students. So we just go in and register. They wanted to make it so we could register online, but they didn't make that happen yet. I'll go tomorrow morning.

I signed up for the online dosage class at Essex that starts June 1 and has the testing in the evening. I didn't have to get any approval, just registered and already paid.

I am happy to see that some of you are "older" students! I have 4 kids, ages 15, 13, 10 and 7. I was wondering if I would be in class with all 18 year olds. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I would just stick out like a sore thumb :)

starting Catonsville day program in the fall!

First, I would like to say congratulations to all that got accepted!!! Hopefully, this fall someone will be congratulating me for getting accepted for spring; and I will be the one answering questions.

I got a 70% overall and a 90% in reading. I completely did not pass the math section 48%. I haven't had a math class since 2002. I plan on retaking it as soon as it is offered. My GPA is somewhere between 2.8 and a 3.0. Does anyone have something comparable to this? I am taking Micro this summer with Mr. Meise @ CCBC Dundalk. I am applying to Spring 2011. Any tips or suggestions.

I am very excited! I got a B in A&P 2! :yeah::lol2::coollook::pI thought I was going to get a C, but I did great on my final. I got a B in A&P 1 as well. I am starting Micro and Human Growth and development in 2 weeks. This gives me a 3.0 GPA.

Hi Everyone,

Anyone know which TEAS version CCBC uses? 3.0/4.0 or V? I tried to look up onatitesting. com but I can't even find a link for CCBC registration?? When I look under Maryland there isn't a Baltimore link. I would like to get the study guides and online practices exams but even CCBC doesn't list this info. I did email support on onatitesting a few days again but haven't gotten a response.

Thanks for the help.

Jenn

I called the testing company and they had to look it up but were able to tell me. I can't recall what version the test was but if you call them, they should be able to "look it up".
