Hi Again JennyA---alas, CNL is only offered at Baltimore campus. I would be a very happy camper if it were offered at Shady Grove. They said that there is no chance of that in the forseeable future.

Jenny A, - you said you were already accepted into HCC for May?? That early? I know its supposed to be a good program but still an ASN correct? I plan to go on to advance practice so I dont think thats an option for me.

Yes, still ASN. I can't say I was officially "accepted" yet because the applications haven't come out yet, but they have rolling admissions and if you have a certain number of points (they assign points based on gpa, prevous bachelors) and you pass their entrance test (I passed yesterday), then you are guaranteed a seat. I want to go into advanced practice too, so if that is my only option I will be upset since it will mean a much longer road. UM has the RN to MS, and then post-masters, but that would take a LOT longer and I don't know that I could handle all of that schooling while working as a nurse!

Mother_Matter: I live in Timonium/Towson area. It will take me about 30 mins with the traffic to UMB. Although you live Bethesda but you go against the traffic, and living the area early will help out. You should be fine commuting.

JennyA: my bad grammar, I mean did you applied for CNL 16 months or 23 months program?
I applied for 16 months program and kind of nervous!

Good luck to you all,

Blondell

Blondell- I want to do the 16-month program. I'm nervous about it being very intense, but I know I can do it. I am determined!

The info session is nothing differ from the website. If you pay attention enough on this website you probably know more than the lady at the session. Seriously, it just waste your time. If you want to know more go to The Open House. I think it's coming in Oct. I am planing to go too!

I agree with you about the determination. I think as a time goes by and from having children, I am more focus and doing better at school. Good luck and have our fingers cross!

Nothing yet for me. My status still says "Complete Ready for Review". I'm really hoping we hear something soon. The Accelerated BSN program that I was accepted into wants a deposit by 10/21. I'm reallly hoping to hear from UMB about the CNL program before then because they're my first choice. Best of luck to everyone who is anxiously awaiting an admissions decision!
