Jenny A, - you said you were already accepted into HCC for May?? That early? I know its supposed to be a good program but still an ASN correct? I plan to go on to advance practice so I dont think thats an option for me.
Yes, still ASN. I can't say I was officially "accepted" yet because the applications haven't come out yet, but they have rolling admissions and if you have a certain number of points (they assign points based on gpa, prevous bachelors) and you pass their entrance test (I passed yesterday), then you are guaranteed a seat. I want to go into advanced practice too, so if that is my only option I will be upset since it will mean a much longer road. UM has the RN to MS, and then post-masters, but that would take a LOT longer and I don't know that I could handle all of that schooling while working as a nurse!
