CCBC Catonsville RN Program

Hi,

I just got accepted into the CCBC RN day program for spring 2010. Can anyone tell me who I should take for fundamententals and when you have labs/clinicals.

Also which facilities did you use for your clinials?

Thans. Any relevant information that will help me succeed is welcome

Congratulations on your admission and i wish you good luck. I am a new grad from catonsville. We had Ms. Brennan and Ms. Mcdade for fundamentals and i know they are still teaching the class with help from 1 or 2 instructors. Unfortunately, you do not get to choose who you want for clinicals. They choose for you. They are very good instructors and really know the subject matter. Catonsville is an excellent nursing program.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The spring schedule just came out today and there is only one section for fundamentals taught by Brennan. I am sure there would be another section since I don't think it is possible that all the nursing students can be in one class.

Anyway, please can you tell me what I need to do to succeed? I heard a number of people drop fro the program and I don't want to do that.

I am scared of the clinicals and I wonder if I would be able to learn/master all the things I need to.Please any information you can give will be much appreciated.

Thank you

fundamentals is usually one class and is taught by more than one instructor. i will advise that u attend all lectures and labs. if possible tape your lectures and listen to them. when u read your notes, make sure u understand them cuz the questions are critical thinking ones and u have to understand to apply. they also have a tutor that u can sign up for if u are having problems with classess. i also did a lot of nclex questions for the topics that were taught in class. it is a difficult program but it is also one of the best in maryland. i sometimes went for study groups with some friends to discuss topics that were taught in class. good luck to uu
