Hows this for weird

My "international edition" fundamentals of nursing book is of higher quality than my peer's US edition, despite them paying way more.

My book is MASSIVE, but the pages are thick and smooth and you can highlight with almost nothing going through. The US book is like printed on rice paper or something to keep the size and weight down. Highlighter bleeds through and the pages are see-through under normal lighting.

Just a curious observation.
