Any NPs in Maine?

    Hi,
I was wondering if any NP in Maine could answer a few questions.
When you are first licensed in Maine as an NP, you need to have a job first - in order to have the paper work done for the board. Is my understanding of this correct?
I am considering moving to Maine but I guess I need a job first in order to get licensed?
    Hows the market in Maine?
    Thanks!!

I think it depends on whether you've practiced under physician supervision for 2 years yet or not--if not, you need verification of physician supervision in whatever job you'll be in which does mean you need to get the job first. I just accepted a job in ME (first NP position, recent grad) and am coming from out of state so I am in the middle of this process myself.
