SNFs ratio

For those who are working in LTCs, how many patients do you get?
Does the patient load depend on which shift you work?
Do you have enough time to spend with each patient and provide QUALITY CARE?

Thanks!

Default Re: SNFs ratio
In my facility the nurses have 20 or 21 residents each on days and evenings and 41 on nights. Days 5 CNAs and a nurse manager. Evenings 4 CNAs, nights 2 CNAs.
The residents get excellent care.

I wish everyone could say exactly what capecod did, but in a lot of SNfs, especially now, the staffing isn't what it needs to be. We have 1:30 for LNs and 1:15 cnas on 7-3 and 3-11, and 1:60 LNs 1:20 CNAs on nignts.
