- Oct 31, '12 by NeatsThank you for your feed back. I am thinking infection control issues like black mold inside the padded cushion (that are not suppose to get wet).
- Dec 28, '12 by Aem1215We have a shower bed at our facility. I have wrapped the arms of the shower bed with bath blankets to protect skin during the shower. It's considerably less costly to purchase the shower bed than to ruin gerichairs and have to replace them.
- Jan 1 by LTCRN4LIFESounds like this is a dementia resident who does not want to be showered....or doesnt understand what is happening to him/her. I think you first should do some investigating as to why the resident is acting this way. All behavior has meaning. Some residents you may need to care plan for no shower. Some of these older folks only ever took a sponge bath. Also maybe the air is too cold making the experience miserable.
