    I am currently interested in Assisted Living Management. Can anyone give advise as to how to "break into" that area of Managment. I have almost 30 years of nursing experience (varried with some ADON and DON for home health and correctional nursing. Also did my Masters Project on ALF business. In the Knoxville area there don't seem to be many jobs for RN's within the ALF arena. Am also thinking about becoming certified as ALF Nurse, would this be helpful, or not really recognized?

    Go for your administrators license. I am a nurse in a personal care facility (similar to assisted living) and it was pretty easy to get licensed as the personal care home administrator. Check out the regulations in your state for further information.
