I'm in the Ohio Valley area or is that Mid Atlantic? Anymoo....as a part timer I make more than that. Ask for more! What are the floor nurses making?

Rates of pay vary a great deal even in the same region. I was the ADON at one building making about $27/hr. I had been at the facility for a while in different jobs. I went to a different facility 5 miles away and was making $4/hr more. How big is the facility? Are your responsibilities huge? Everything factors in to your rate of pay.

Wow! Now I really do feel unappreciated I work in the Midwest and make $21.50/hr.

Again there is a huge difference in different areas of the country. I'm a DNS in the Northeast. I'm surprised when I hear of DNS jobs in the Carolinas or Virginia where the directors are paid between $60,000 and $65,000 a year. Most staff nurses in Massachusetts make at least that much.
What do they say? Location location location?

Hi CapeCod. I agree...location is the key.

I just started an ADON position with a starting of 72,000. The person who left the position took a position at a facility 5 miles away for 89,000.
