    Hello everyone,
I am so glad that there is a place for us LPN's that are in school. I am kind of a black sheep. I have been licensed since 03' and the majority of my experience has been in psych. I worked with adolesents & children that had severe behavioral problems r/t abuse, neglect or both. I did that for four yrs. before i was licensed and two yrs. after. My most rewarding and hardest job yet.... I worked in long term care for 9mths and moved again (husbands in the Army) and now i work for the state hospital in my area as an employee health nurse, in the Infection Control Dept. We have a little over 700 employees so it's a tall order. I am 27 years old and I also have two children, an 8 yr old and a 2 yr. old. My husbands leaving in July for Iraq and I'm starting my first quarter of school at the end of this month!! Prayers guys! Lots of prayers! Thanks and hope to talk to you all soon!
Hey everyone! I am new to the board, just joined today. My husband is an American Bulldog breeder and is always on some type of message board. It's so exciting to have a place of my own. I am a new LPN, just got my license in September 2007. I am in my junior semester of RN school. I will graduate in August 2008 with my RN degree (I hope). I am repeating Peds/OB because I missed it by 1.5 points last semester. I want to work as a L&D nurse when I graduate. If anyone can give me any pointers on what to expect, please do so. Oh, btw, love the board.

    I'm 25 y/o from Minnesota.

Worked as a CNA for 7 years.

I am currently an LPN working in LTC. I graduated from the PN program in August 07 and started the LPN-RN program in August also! Graduating with my ASN in May if all continues to go well.

Can't wait to get my BSN My long term goal is to get my Master's, and possibly become a CRNA. I'm also thinking about joining the military, be all that I can be and so on.

good morning everyone (at least it's morning here in ohio)

i've been an lpn since '02 and i've worked primarily in assisted living (my passion) since my graduation.

i just stared working towared the adn with excelsior college. i'm in the midst of studying for my first exam.

i feel really isolated being in the distance learning program but i'd rather feel isolated than stuffy in a classroom....

    nice to meet everyone.

if there's anyone from ohio, let me know....

    god bless.

    Hello,
I am Heather, I'm 23 and an LPN of two years. I just started the Excelsior program to get my RN (ADN). I am working on prereqs at the moment, just took my Life Span exam and passed with a B. Now I am working on A&P. I am loving Excelsior cause I have no weekly clinicals, no papers, no quizzes etc. And I get to work at my own pace. So...hi!

Hi all. I am in my second quarter of the LPN-RN transition at Sinclair. I started working on my pre-reqs and co-reqs as soon as I finished PN school in Aug. 06 and finished all but one class before getting into the program and I took that one last quarter.

I have a whole passel of kids but most have flown the coop. I'm in the Cincinnati-Dayton OH corridor I have one in Kentucky, one in Columbus, one in Cinci and one in Iraq. The "baby" is still at home in high school.

I'm considering doing my ADN to BSN online after I finish this so I can work more.
