I am looking at bridge programs (LPN- RN), and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Pratt CC's online program. I am not a Kansas resident though, and I was wondering if this program is open only to Kansas residents.

I am a student in Excelsior's LPN to RN program...however, have recently been looking into other options, to see if there is a program that offers a bit more stability (despite that I am over helfway done with the Excelsior program). Pratt was always offered to only KS residents...however, within the past month or so, admissions has agreed to also accept the applications of out-of-state residents. I have spoken to the director of the program, and she said that preference is still given to KS residents, but that other applicants will indefinitely be considered. All of the didactic portions is online; however, clinically, the student must travel various times to the college campus/clinical site.
Hope that helps!

at the time, pratt was not taking out of state students, but i believe they now are. incidentally, i completed excelsior's program in sept. of 2007, became an rn soon after and have been working ever since. good luck to you!
