PBSC Nursing Transition Help!!!

  1. Hi everyone, I'm an LPN going for the transition at Palm Beach State College. I haven't had any luck finding stories about transition students at this school. If there is anyone out there who did the transition can you please tell me about your experience from testing to getting the acceptance letter?

About me: I've been working as an LPN for a year, I took the Hesi math and NACE1 and passed. The nursing program specialist added me to semester 2 Full-Time for fall 2017.

**I just want to know the process you went through before getting accepted in the program.

    Thanks!

Hi MissClaudiae have you ever found out anything about PBSC transition program?

I just completed the pharmacology course and the next course I have to take is Intro to Professional nursing , they aren’t doing the class for spring 2017 anymore because the Lpn students would have to start semester 2 during the summer which is only 12 weeks and it would set them up for failure being that semester 2 is the most challenging semester in the program. I’ll keep you posted on anything new from the school.

I was recently at the transition info session. I too have been looking for a transition student who has experience with their accelerated program since it is fairly new. I thought you were in it because you made this thread last year. I am dead set on pbsc though.

I haven’t had any luck finding transition students but I’ll continue to update on the process as I move along.

How was Pharm btw and would you say it is okay to take it wit another class?

If you did good in Pharm for LPN school you will be fine taking another class with Pharm. The pharmacology class was like a refresher for me and the questions were very simple .

I took a 3 credit pharmacology class a few years ago. I wasn't sure if it is worth taking it again. It is not the exact same class though because the one at Pbsc is a 2 credit class. I was going to fill to appeal it but a refresher wouldn't hurt I guess.

Hello, I went to a prev. orientation session and this was the book she said to use Saunders Q & A Review for the NCLEX-RN(R) Examination, 5e (Saunders Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN): 978143772228: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com
She also stated that any NCLEX book fundamentals section will suffice
Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination: 789859552: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com
