LVN to BSN worth it?

I want to go on to get my BSN, but the other day my class was talking about how most hospitals will put a nurse with their BSN into administration not on the floor. I don't want to go all threw school just to work in an office.

I was wondering if anyone else had heard this?

Thanks!

There are plenty of RN-BSNs who work as bedside nurses on hospital floors.

You can stay on the floor but the difference is, when you're burned out on the floor, you can move up.

Totally agree with Susquatch - I was an LPN who did the ADN, BSN, MSN, etc.. and still wish I just done the LPN to BSN program.

We don't stay young forever and as we age (my grand-daughter says I'm almost old now), having options is important.
