:mad:Ive been a LPN for 6 months, i really want to go back to school for my lpn to rn program, but i dont know if its better to go through excelsior college or use one of these schools that help you like achieve test preparation once a week, but all i know is that is way cheaper going directly through excelcior college than using these schools.

I need helppppppp, i want to go back and do my RN and get over with,

what do you guys suggest me?:uhoh3:

I'd suggest checking into your local community colleges. That is the much, much, much cheaper route.

What did you decide on? because i have an interview with Achieve Test Prep tomorrow.

Specializes in Geriatrics.

I am going through excelsior. i can't do classes at the community college because i work full time. i know a few people who did the LPN-RN program and succeeded.

I'm thinking about excelsior. How do you like it and how far are you?

I am in the same situation as you currently being an LPN. I posted a comment on the Distance Learning forum

under students wondering if I should sign with DLSI online video classes and then LPN to RN with EXCELSIOR. ??

Any information would be appreciated.

Yeah but the wait list can be three years which depending on when you got your science class done could be a problem

I had a meeting at achieve test prep here in Philly and loved what they had to offer. They are a prep or tutoring if you would for excelsior. They have a full lab that you can use to practice for the CPNE. You still get the flexibility of excelsior but the environment of a class room. They have their own books which is helpful and price wise if you have no prerequisite would be $20k mines is around $15k since I have some. You could check you community college, but remember your competing with about 1000 other students for maybe 100 seats. I say have a meeting with achieve and then decide
