Published

Hi all,

Ok two things

1) LPN to RN how does this take once you complete the LPN part

2) Does anyone know of any LPN schools in CT?

Thanks so much

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

The LPN to ADN bridge took me 18 months. This is (I think) the average. Sorry can't help you in Conn...might try your board of nursing site.

Some schools in CT are:

-The state schools which are the cheapest (Prince Tech, Goodwin Tech, there's more go on their website and you'll find them)

-Porter and Chester institute (expensive)

-Lincoln Technical (expensive)

Specializes in floor to ICU.

My LVN to RN will take 11 mos (excluding the pre-req's). I'm in Texas so no info about other states.

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Mine is end of August to End of May not counting pre-reqs.

Is the LPN to RN a 5 day a week program like the LPN program, or are classes scheduled like it was for prereq's?

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

In my area (North Texas and East Texas), LVN-to-RN bridge programs are approximately 1 year long after the prerequisites have been completed. Basically, it consists of 1 summer session, 1 fall semester, and 1 spring semester, so it adds up to about 12 calendar months.
