LOOKING FOR LPN TO RN SCHOOL IN OHIO, COLUMBUS, OHIO AREA REALLY WITHIN HOUR DRIVING DISTANCE THAT HAS THE SHORTEST TIME FRAME TO GET IN?
-How long is the program?
-Wait time to get in?
-accreditation? are they nationally accredited?
hopefully next fall i'd like to get in, maybe earlier? i get my lpn May 2011
Here are some places to begin your research (All of these schools
have excellent websites with good information)
Columbus Area LPN to ADN Bridge Programs:
Public Colleges, with accreditation:
Central Ohio Tech. College - Newark, OH (COTC)
Hocking College - Nelsonville, OH
Columbus State Community College - Columbus, OH
Marion Technical College - Marion, OH
Most of the major universities in the area that have nursing programs
also have LPN-BSN bridge programs, or offer admission to LPNs looking to complete their degrees. These include OSU, Otterbein, and Capital
There are also several for profit schools in the area offering LPN to RN completion:
Fortis (Formerly Boehecker)
Chamberlain College of Nursing
Distance Learning sources are also available, such as Excelsior College. (The Ohio BON does recognize Excelsior as an approved RN school)
Hope this helps!
