Hi, I'm an LPN looking into bridge programs in nyc but i've hit a stump and would appriciate any comments.

I'm a full time worker at an ambulatory clinic and is looking for something that i can do at nights/weekends. With the pre-reqs I only need 2 more classes to get into the clinicals. I've heard alot of mixed reviews about LCC and would like some honest opinions from students who are going through the bridge program. I understand that its very competitive and intense, and i'm willing to accommodate. I just want to know if the education aspect and/or learning process is worth the time. Otherwise I'll have to look at other options. Thank you soo much in advanace for your help!

p.s. I'm currently enrolled in excelsior and is lacking the self-discipline required. So no distance learning for me

=(

Hi, studentprogess!!

I also looking for some LPN to RN pathway and I tried to get a counselling with the coordinator of transition cousre LPN to RN

program in La Guardia CC.

I think that college's program is not

convienient for me because they force me to finish transition

course first, math and some extra prerequisits even though

I already finish A&P I and II, Microbiology, Psycology, Socialogy .

And still they want to evaluate some prerequisit courses those I will take

in that college except some courses tranferred from the other

college for getting me into program. they want me get all As

except only one B.

And, they want me to take another Bridge

course for contiunuing regular 3rd semester in RN program.

Oh, another badthing is that transition course is not covered by

financial aid. so, you have to pay.transition course's tuiton is 700 and something dollars.

and also, that transition course is offered only one time on each semester so I have to wait for fall semester. I think it will be take at least 1 year and half for me to get into regualar RN program.

I just want to tell you "before applying for that college, you need to

check up all hidden tramps."

Hey, did you end up taking the transition course and getting in?
