I am feeling discouraged. Please re-encourage me!

Hi!

I am currently an LVN and have been for the past 5 yrs. I am finally going back to school (30yrs old) to get my RN. I started last semester and am trying to complete my prerequisites , i finished one last semester in hopes to start my sciences this upcoming fall. well once again, disappointment strikes and i am unable to get into any science classes, thus prolonging my goal to have this done before 35.

Im not giving up just frustrated with the impaction of the schools and do not want to pay 100,000 at a private school.

A little encouragement is needed right now. Thanks in advance.

Is there anyway you can relocate out of state for nursing school? I am originally from CA and completed my VN schooling in the greater Los Angeles area, but other states have amazing educational systems.

You can apply directly to LPN-to-RN programs in some states and be accepted without any prerequisites. Or, you can slowly complete the prerequisite courses, but in other states you'll never run into the problem of not being able to get into any science courses. Nursing programs and science classes are simply not that impacted elsewhere.

Relocating out of CA was the best thing I ever did educationally and professionally. I was admitted into an LPN-to-RN program out of CA with no waiting lists, and have been an RN since 2010.

Thecommuter. Do you know if TN lvn-rn bridge programs have no waitlist? I'm from CA.

I've never been to TN and have no firsthand knowledge regarding any of their bridge programs.
