Community college transcripts

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

I am currently a few months away from completing an LVN program in California. In my youth I traveled and attend several community colleges sporadically and art school, always withdrawing or forgetting to drop and receiving an F ( I did get good grades in a few semesters of art school). It would take me a few years to retake these classes and I would have to move to each place to do so...obviously not a reasonable task to take on. My question is... if I leave these off my college applications will they be able to find out if I take Pre-Reqs at a JC for a LPN to RN program. If this is not an option, what schools can I attend for an LPN to RN or LPN to BSN that do not require pre-requisites. I would preferably like to attend a school that has an inexpensive program, I know for me this may not be an option. I am open to moving anywhere so any suggestions would be lovely.

If you utilized financial aid during those years in which you received 'F' grades at the various community colleges, then the JC would find out. However, if you paid for your failed courses using self-pay, there's no way the new schools wouls find out unless you divulge the information.

The only LPN-to-RN programs that do not require prerequisites are staggeringly expensive since you will be paying for the convenience of getting admitted into the school without meeting any requirements.
