Testing for More Than One License

So I am currently an LPN student in Louisiana and I have family that lives in Texas, I was told that once I am eligible to take my boards test I should do so in Orange,because they allow students from Louisiana to sit for the NCLEX there for a license in Texas and Louisiana..I was windering how true that is? I know that I can test in LA and then apply for an endorsement in TX, and practice in either state as along as I maintain my license in my hime state. But can I sit for one test and leave with two licenses?
