I just took the NCLEX on the 30th of July (85 Qs). I just found out that I passed...Praise God!

If you are about to take THE test, here are the best pieces of advice people gave me.

-Take a break(s) during the test. Stroll around and regroup.

-Know the ABCs of priority: airway, breathing, circulation

-Know Maslow's Hierarchy of priority. Physiological first...ALWAYS!

-Know the more popular meds.

-If you can get your hands on it...Silvestri's NCLEX Handbook/Study Guide is unbelievable. She gives you key words to look for to r/o answers. She tells you how to strategically answer Qs. It alone probably accounted for 30% of my right answers. Plus it comes with a CD that has a ton of practice Qs.

May you test with peace of mind.

Congratulations! :balloons: You took your test the day after I did with the same amount of questions! Isn't it great? ;)We are nurses!;)

BTW, I had Saunders books and CDs and they were very helpful as well, but I must admit, when it really came down to it....I found what helped me most was to rely on my education. I told myself not to sweat it, for I was taught well.. It worked! Congrats again to you and your exciting beginning into nursedome!

Thanks, and congratulations!!!

I just finished my LPN program on Aug 1. I am about applying for licensure.

About how long does it take between applying for licensure by exam, getting authorization to test, and taking the actual exam? I would like to have a rough idea of when I will take the exam.

I have a question for those that have taken the NCLEX-PN recently.. I'm taking it Aug 10th at 9am and I'm a lil concerned with IV questions. We didn't learn anything about IV's and tubing and drip rates in school... we ran outta time. Did anyone get those kinda questions? I looked up a formula in one of my books but I can't find an example questions. I wanna practice with one so I know how to use the formula. HELP! Is this somthing I need to stress or should I be more worried about those darn click all that apply?:uhoh3:
