Well you need to know your a&p as a nurse, so yes it can hurt your chances but it doesn't have to. Since you have your books, just start reading and studying a bit now. If you know you have issues in specific areas of a&p, go ahead and re-read those parts. Try "study blue" if you have a smart phone. They have tons of flash cards for all kinds of subjects, or you can make your own. I haven't started my lpn program yet, but i have done the first two semesters in rn program before, and it wasn't impossible, but it wasn't easy either of course. (I did pretty good, but i have to go the LPN route now cause i waited too long to go back after having my first child.) You have to be willing to devote a lot of time to studying, and if you know you're weak in an area, spend extra time with that as well. Also use the resources that come with the book. Those can be helpful. Check YouTube for videos of lectures... There are tons of resources you can use to help you, so use them starting now and give yourself a head start!

I feel your pain. I start January 14 as well and I've already had nightmares about the first day. I wouldn't worry so much about A&P. It is important to know, but I've taken it twice and found that I actually did understand it, but it intimidated me and I would have test anxiety. When I took the final I was shocked to realize that I knew most of it. Just brush up on what you don't know, and I agree that studyblue will help you a lot. They have an app for smartphones too. Study, study, study! The graduating class talked to us during our orientation and said that studying will become our life. It's the only way to be successful.

Ok thanks the only thing is in my lpn school u don't need a&p just body structures and I heard that was easier then a&p I barley passed my a&p course but I did pass.
