Hi! I attend Temple College in Temple Tx and I just applied to the LVN program yesterday!!!! I had myself all worked up over the HESI A2- passed- and now I was just wondering if anyone on here will be applying or has applied for the same LVN program at Temple for 2014-2015? I am a stay at home mom with great support from my husband and kids but I would like to "meet" some others out there will similar goals, interests etc. :)

I will be going to! But I still have to take my hesi test Monday. So far I have 2 points because I'm not a temple resident which is a bummer. I hope I pass the hesi with flying colors!

I am also going to take my Hesi exam on Monday! I am so nervous! I decided I would try for the LVN program about 2 weeks ago so I am a little behind schedule. :( This will be my first time taking any kind of college classes. I am stressing so much over the Hesi exam mainly because I haven't done algebra or even looked at a fraction since I was in HS which was 5 years ago! So needless to say I have been studying like crazy but still have doubts.

Yikes !!! I just finished the hesi and did not score as high as I wanted to. I made a 72 which isn't very competitive at all. My chances of getting in are slim to none. However I'll still apply

I did not go today. I decided to wait til next Monday which I know is waiting til the last minute. The only part Im really stressing over is the math portion. What was it like for you? Were there a lot of questions on metric conversions?

I thought we would have been able to use the built in calculator's but we don't get to use any whatsoever! I struggled on diving decimals like 8.065รท.002. Stuff like that. There was not to many metric questions but I would advise you to know fractions. The reading had very tricky questions and the answers are similar. The vocabulary was more anatomy and physiology words and fill in the blank.

Ok that helps :) did you use your entire 3 hours? How many questions for each subject were there?

Yes I used the entire 3 hours there were 55 questions for the reading, math, and vocab :) hope that helps

I cant believe I missed yall commenting on this!! YAY! Well, I hope by now, yall have taken the HESI!! :) lunaj89, I hope you applied to the nursing program, the first time I took the Hesi, which was at CTC, i got a 67 i think. I was heartbroken, So if that was your first time- that's pretty good in my eyes. I had to study my tail off and was a nervous wreck when I took it at Temple because it wasnt the same set up, no calculators...managed to pass it. Well, I started sending friend request although i dont know how you find them. Im new to this- but I hope everyone applied and I hope we all get in and see each other!!!!! Crossing fingers. Come on FEB!!

I did finally take my HESI and scored an 89! I WAS SHOCKED! lol I definitely did way better than I thought I would. I applied to the program in Taylor but i also had to submit a declaratory order to the Board of Nursing and am told that is very time consuming. So not sure if ill even be approved by the time school starts. Trying to stay positive though.

That's a great score! But what is a declaratory order? Hopefully, its not THAT time consuming and it will be settled before school begins. Stay positive. I scribble on post it notes encouragement for myself because Im a worry wart haha.

It is only required if you have a criminal record. Im told it can take 6 months which i obviously dont have but fingers crossed it all works out.
