Practical LVN School Year Curriculum

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hi everyone,

I am looking into applying to a LVN school soon.

I wanted to know how the class workload was like.

How long are your semesters? What was your schedule like? Did you work part-time as CNA? (if so how many days a week and how long of a shift?)

If you have the time, can you briefly list a semester of classes for me?

Like I have heard:

One semester (anatomy, physiology, and three other classes or even more!)

Lastly, can you tell me how the workload is like during a normal week? How much homework a week and how tough they were for you?

Thanks so much guys and gals, Sirs and Madams.

I feel I can take the work load since I have taken 6 classes in CSUN without work (WAS VERY THOUGH and is my limit).

OH one more thing, are the classes at your adult school easier than the classes at a four year college? (Like was physiology class easier than the physiology class you took at a community college or university?)

Hi! After I finish LVN, I would want to continue my education and get my RN or BSN.

LVNs schools are expensive, but really need to get into one so, I can do the bridge program for LVN-RN or LVN-BSN.

i will be attending green river's lpn program. its been going since the 1960s and they have a high nclex pass rate. also, they will be starting an rn bridge program soon. one of the nursing instructors mentioned something about giving first priority to green river lpn students over students from others school when they start the bridge program. i've never heard anything bad about lake wa, or any of the other lpn schools for that matter. i would pick the one that is easiest for commuting, and look at what their requirements are for applying. green river is lottery and cna was not required. i guess you are able to obtain your cna after the first quarter if you want..:)

greenriver seemed to have some other weird requirements if i remember correctly. wow, i really have to go back and reread the website because i totally missed that they are a lottery. i got my aa from greenriver a few years ago and had a positive experience. how weird was the process?

just wanted to know hows the entrance exam thinking about taking the exam in a few weeks thanks
