Ok so I was wondering if anyone knows of some good pharamacology books to help me remember the drugs, s/e's, etc...I'm doing good in my class (have a low A/high b) but seem to be having to spend alot of time on studying because I guess I my mind just has a block or something against remembering it. I'm a visual learner and have actually resorted to drawing cartoons to help me remember certain things (I can't draw, my ppl are stick figures lol) I know there are some pharmacology cartoon like books out there and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on any in particular. Thanks!

I would probably purchase Delmar's Comprehensive Study Guide for NCLEX-PN. They have a great pharmacology section that helped me a great deal. Good luck!

I just got some drug cards to help me study a little bit....But what I noticed helped me the most was studying what the drug name ended in....for instance...most antibiotics end in "-in" so when we were studying meds for different sections I started noticing that most of them end in the same thing and a lot of the side effects and stuff are the same...maybe that will hlep

That's one of the reasons why I mentioned Delmar's Comprehensive Study Guide...they actually mentioned many of those nuances that made studying for school/NCLEX easier.

A good way to remember pharmacology is to learn to associate the drugs with the particular disorders/illnesses by making a concept map. That seems to work for me.
