Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hi -

This is my first post here. I am enrolling in an LVN program at a local private college. School starts in a month or so. My question is, after I get my LVN license how soon can I work towards my RN? Because I am very busy as it is, I plan on getting my RN and eventually my MSN online. Is this route looked down upon? My ultimate goal is to become a NP. Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated. I am new to Nursing :)

Hi and welcome,

I'd check around the local schools offering a LPN to RN bridge program to see what their requirements are and especially to make sure your classes from a private LPN school will be accepted. They are all different and some require you work as a LPN for 6 months but not all. Good luck!

You usually can start working on any prerequs you may need for the RN bridge at any time.
