How much or how little are you working and how many hours are you devoting to homework?

I have a large family and a super supportive hubby, and I want to succeed so badly.

Thanks

Hello, it's a little different for each of the mom's in my class but I had to stop working with three kids and my husband's work schedule( 9am -9pm Monday-Saturday) I just didn't want to have someone else watching my kids all day. I study every night from 8pm to 10:30 Monday-Saturday and from noon to 4pm on Sunday's. I hope that helps and good luck :)

I have 4 kids and just finished my program. There was no way I could have worked. School is a fulltime job alone. I spent a lot of time on homework/studying. Monday Theory , Tue Clinical, Tue Clinical, Thur study, Fri Lab Sat Careplans Sun Study for exams. Also had to do some homework at night. Have you started your program yet?

I have 5 kids plus one of my stepkids moved in. My school is a part time 18 month program T/W/Th 2-9:30. My 4 year old was accepted to afternooon pre k at the public school district, so no child care needed. I guess I will have to enlist everyone's help with housework and laundry:D

My classes start at the end of August and I only have one little girl who is 7 and starting the 2nd grade. She is so excited that we will be able to do our homework together. It's cute! She understands that I will be studying a lot, but we will still have time to spend together. The best part is that my class is basic from 7-2:30 mon-fri so my mother in law will only have to watch her for a little bit in the mornings before school. I will be home in more than enough time to pick her up from the bus. My scariest part of all this is letting go of a job that I am used to and make good money at to become a full time student. I have wanted to be a nurse for so long and now's my chance!!

Different for everyone I worked 20 hours a week. 10-2pm and class 4-9pm --- I studied everyday at work(luxury) for at least an hour sometimes two. My mornings were spent with my little boy and once I got home with him as well - my weekends varied if I had a big test he went to a sitter Saturday evening until Sunday evening.

You can do it!

I just sat in my last class ever my pinning is next Tuesday :)

I'm having an issue myself. I actually need to work and I can only realistically do this on weekends since my school schedule will be 8-4 M-F. I still have my responsibilities at home that can't be neglected. I'll leave it in the hands of the divine and hope I'll be shown a way through this.

Best of luck and blessings to you all :-)

I'll only be taking pre-reqs this Fall so it will be easier to work classes around my schedule. Taking an English course online, Medical Terminology on Mondays from 12-2pm and Basic Nutrition on Fridays from 10-12pm. Plus I'll be working less than 20 hours a week from 4-7pm Mon-Sat. I'll still have plenty of time to spend with my son and all day Sunday but of course there will be study time which I will probably go to a Starbucks down the street to do, lol.

Luckily, I won't have to worry about a babysitter as my mother and grandmother don't work and would help me out when needed. Kind of anxious to get back into the groove of going back to school now that I have a child in the picture but I'm sure everything will work itself out and I will become adjusted to it.

Have to work to pay for school as I messed up my first year and unable to get financial aid until my GPA goes up. But I will be getting a Fresh Start Scholarship which will pay up to $500 of my tuition .. but that still leaves books. If anyone knows of a scholarship or grant that will help pay for it, please let me know :)

I have one in class day left, along with two Hesis on that day and there is no way that I ( speaking only for myself) could have worked this year and still be sane. Not to mention that I have a husband, had 9 children at home plus a daughter in law and a grandson (son, grandson and daughter in law all recently moved into their new place). Money has been tight and even without working it still has been a stretch. I would advice anyone who has the option of not having to work...don't. Just my opinion.
