"calculate the time required to give 500mL of NS at a maximum rate of 145mL/hr. please answer in whole hours and minutes."

- Mar 2 by CathyladyI'm not a nurse but I am a math teacher and you simply have to set this up as a proportion. After you solve the proportion you have to convert .44 to minutes which is approximately 27. Here's the proportion:
500/n = 145/1
145n = 500
n = 3.45
n = 3 hours and 27 minutes.
