In my state LVN's can not do IV push medication, start IV's (unless certified) hang blood, or do inital post op or admission assessments. There are a few more things, but I don't know what else. the web site will spell it out in detail.

- Oct 6, '00 by chris8Hi! I'm not familiar with the hospital setting here in the U.S. since i'm a foreign grad of BSN. I just want to know what are the duties of an LVN in the hospital so I wont have a hard time dealing with delegation issues in the NCLEX. hope to hear some responses from the LVN's or RN's who have delegated already.
