    Just got the letter today. Any tips, what can I expect in LPN school?

    Also, how do I get my immunizations record? I have a form to fill out but am 30 and not even sure if my pediatrician is still practicing. Should I have all new vaccines, and would my family doc even do this?

    Expect to study a lot and take exams almost every week. Not sure if it is like that everywhere but I am testing twice a week! I am blessed to say I am maintaining grades of 90 and above but it is not easy. U will be tested but I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it. Congrats on getting in!!!

    Do not fall behind! Always read ahead! I just finished week 3 of my program and all I can say is wow. It takes a lot of effort and quality studying. I've been maintaining around 85-90% on all of my tests and I only work weekends. Good luck!

    Yes, I agree... I started my program in January... You test just about every 2 days...read ahead and do not get behind..Good Luck!

    I didn't have copies of all of my immunizations so i had titers drawn and then only had the immunizations done that I needed.

    You should see if your school will require titers to be drawn, if that's the case you will not need your immunization record.

    I was trying to say that titers will provide proof you received immunizations or have immunity from actually getting the disease. I did this in order to avoid having to get double immunized. I only wanted to recv required vaccines. I used a combination of titer labs and vaccines for LVN school.

    Looks like we posted at the same time. My school required documented titers and then immunization if we weren't positive for them. They are very strict about it. Very expensive if you don't have insurance!! Luckily I was positive for all. We also had to get the flu shot and TDAP which was mandated for us.

    We had to get both flu shots h1n1 and regular flu, i believe. Many students waited until right before clinicals began and were time crunched.
