How much was your LPN/LVN school?

Hi I was curious to see how much schools are everywhere else... i'll start off with mine..

2008 Lancaster, CA $22,000 (I feel I paid to much:crying2:)

Northern CA is where I am at. As far as housing costs...it is not cheap. My husband and I pay $850 for a very small one bedroom in Oakland.

I live in Chicago.. so that's actually not bad..it's really expensive here too! Thanks for answering hon!

I'm going to a Community College and in Texas not Cali (which I assume adds extra money) and mine should be around 7,000. That should include all books, uniforms, and supplies for Clinical's. If it was me I would say that you are over paying BUT sometimes being in a more expensive state can make a huge difference as well as a private school can add expenses. You might want to look around and just get quotes on other schools like yours...then you'll have a better idea.

I guess I lucked out. Most of my program was paid for, and we are fund-raising to pay for the costs of the IV cert class, graduation, and hopefully board fees.

$5,900 for classes and clinical. This does not include extra expenses (immunizations, scrubs, equipment.) However my financial aid covered it all and I got some back.

12000 here in pa which is cheap cuz private programs cost 27000 and they are not accredited my school is , but the pay around philly for lpns is between 20-25 bucks a hr, not bad

Here in CA, if you want to work in the prison system, they are starting new LPN's at $4700 a month with a $3500 sign on bonus and an awesome benefit package that will pay for your RN program.

hey! I live in Southern California, do they have program like that here?

Hi Minnie,

The closest prison to us in the SD area is Donovan State Prison which is a small trek depending on where you're from. I'm not sure if you're in the San Diego area? If you are in the SD area, my guy works for the County of SD as a cop... and a couple of his partner's wives work for SD county jail systems and make decent wages and get a good benefits package. They seem to like it well. Again, this is coming from his partners so I don't know all of the exact details but you can look at the county website. :D

Hey! I live in Los Angeles area not in SD. I want to see if there any good LVN schools. The cost of the program and they should be accredited by boards of nursing. I will like to get more information about the LVN program.

Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood! That I am not sure of, sorry! Good luck!

I am in Oklahoma. I am paying ~2000$ for my program, total.

My school is near Pittsburgh, PA & it's a little over $11,000 but that doesn't include the cost of books & uniforms (which is a bunch of crap)
