Hello, I have been researching LVN programs within the southern california area from Chino to Arcadia ( between work and home). I found a low cost program with a starting date this September through Baldy view regional (rop). Unfortunately I did not pass the entrance exam and am no longer eligable for this program =( . Does anyone know any good LVN schools that are not a high cost private school or community college. I have been researching but have had very little luck. Thank you to any feedback

If you are willing to commute a little further for the cheaper tuition, North Valley ROP offers a low-cost LVN program. Unfortunately, the area where you live is flooded with the very expensive trade schools that charge $25,000+ in tuition for LVN programs.

I would just add to that to make sure and do your own research to verify facts they claim about job opportunities and salaries for LVNs in So Cal, too. I know lots of unemployed LVNs of all ages, the only one I know personally got her job because she knew someone who knew the person who was hiring.
  7. Thank you for the feedback! Yes you are right, all the schools within my area are too expensive. I feel trapped in a way because the only options I know of would be either Private school ($30k) or community college-which require pre-reqs that would take me years to complete. I would really like to get my education started and completed within a reasonable amount of time, that way I can start gaining my work experience because I know thats what alot of employers are going to be looking for. I will continue on with my searching and hope to find the answer im looking for =) thank you for the information I did check them out STILL TAKING ANY LEADS FOR SCHOOLS IF ANYONE HAS ANY. THANK YOU!

Hopefully this site will help you find a school close to you that is within your budget!
  9. I also suggest brushing up on your entrance test skills so that you have a better chance of passing the entrance test next time. Good luck.
  10. Thank you!
