i laugh because i didn't attend my own graduation, but attended my friend's who graduated from my program a year after i did. consider inviting an established lpn who really accomplished something unusual in her career. they had higher ups speak, but, this woman was meant for me. she spoke about the many creative things she did as an lpn and while she did encourage people to go further in their nursing careers if they wished, but she shared what she accomplished in her 35 year nursing career. she gave me all of the hope and pride in what was accomplished at that moment. good luck in your search.

We had our graduation ceremony last night and speeches were given by the class president, valedictorian, our college program liaison and we had two inspirational speakers (instructors in our program).

thank you for answering! good ideas. what would be good gifts to give the instructors?

Maybe the class should take a vote on what gifts to provide for the instructors. Some just take them out to dinner or something. I'm not good there...I didn't like my instructors, so, I didn't participate.

Some of the ideas that students in our class came up with were doing a basket of goodies. Since I was the class treasurer and in looking at our budget we agreed to giving the instructors pewter pictures frames with the following engraving, "Thank you, (teacher's name). You can also print an extra copy of your class picture to put in the frames. By the way, we got the frames at Things Remembered.
