I am about t pull out my freakin hair:banghead::eek::angryfire!!!! My Community College was suppose to mail out acceptance letters May 29th so I waited until Monday June 2 to see if I got one or at least a confirmation letter but nothing!!!! Because we were told that they do not mail rejection letters if you do get in this fall you should get in next fall depending on your number on the LVN wait list & they were accepting for sure 30 but they were going to kee trying to find a spot for 15 more & of course I am #44:cry::loveya: great but right at the edge. I called them on Monday & to my shock & frustration I was told that they had not mailed out the acceptance letters yet but were anticipating, my favorite word:banghead:!!!! mailing them out this week, come on already I just want to know already so I can mak some decisions & get money together if I need to which I probably won't. Yes 30 know already to get going on their stuff but 15 people me inlcuded are left hanging in the balance:eek::banghead::cry:!!!! we all have families to take care or other responsibilities & it would be nice to know because the fall semester starts August 25th in about 2 & a half months:eek:!!!! so sorry about the long post I just am so frustrated and I am so tired of waiting!!!! Thanks for letting me vent:chuckle is anyone else going through this too?

Hang in there, one if my friends in LPN school was only notified the week before classes started that someone had dropped and she had a spot. Get used to it because nursing school will be all about contorting yourself to suit the ever changing requirements of the program. ;)

Specializes in Hospice / Ambulatory Clinic.

I'm not waiting for a letter of acceptance but I am waiting for a letter about orientation. Now I called up and found its on the 12th but still I want the letter. I also had to call my cc as they hadn't given me a registration date for summer/fall (so I can take a course online while in lvn school) I've been going to this school of and on since 2002 so I don't know why I didn't get one this time but oh well fixed now

Specializes in Former MA and NA, now an LPN student.

I would be pulling my hair out too! I know someone who was notified the FRIDAY before NS started that she was to be there bright and early on Monday morning. Talk about a shock! Anything can happen.. hang in there!

There will probably be several that will drop out, so hang on!

When I went to LPN school in 1974 we started out with about 30 and alot dropped out!

We graduated with 8 nurses that year.

Thank you all so very much:w00t:!!!! I really appreciate all of your kind words of encouragement & support!!!! I have awsome news I checked my mail yesterday & I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER!!!!:balloons::clpty::anpom::anpom::anpom::anpom:*wine:hpygrp::stdnrsrck:!!!!

i can so relate with what you were going thru. i didnt get my acceptance letter till 2 weeks after everyone got theres. well the 2 people i work with that are going and a friend from hubbys work. i know how depressing and stressfull it is. i didnt think id get in at all. so i was just waiting for my loser letter. and when i got the acceptance packet, i cried my eyes out. it was the first time (except for marrying my hubby) that i didnt feel like a loser and a failure. that life is now finally happening for me.

so i know exactly how you feel and felt. i still smile thinking about it. i cant wait. and i dont care how freakin hard it is. i will graduate

I know all to well missy120808 what you have been through. I lived through your same dilema, well almost the same. I actually found out from this website that others had received their acceptance letter while I patiently continued to wait for mines. Then when I called to the school that following Monday, of course the key person that I needed to speak to was guess what? Out of the Office! Go figure. Finally I got a phone call the next day congratulating me into the program. Turns out that my letter was mailed but somehow must have gotten lost. I couldn't have been more happier. I too had doubts that I didn't get in because of how highly competitive the program is. But it apparently must be meant to be. I think we all have the right idea when we say we don't care how hard the program will be. We all know that this is something that we strongly want, and as long as we stay motivated and keep our determination, nothing will stand in our way. CONGRATS & GOOD LUCK!!:yelclap:

hey missy, my program starts aug 26th. and ill graduate second week of june.

i would have reapplied the next year and however long it took. but there would have been a part of me that would have given up.

i have orientation on mon. and im having a blast getting all my stuff together.
