I have college credits too. I was going to apply to Abington nursing school but I missed the deadline this year. So I decided to do the lpn route then apply to rn

My only thing was finding a job as a lpn. Bc I hear they are phasing out of hospitals but temple hires lpns.

I want to apply to Abington as well. Yes, they are phasing out LPN jobs in hospitals but HUP uses LPNs for hospice and their rehabilitation center. Main Line Health uses them for outpatient and their drug rehab program. And I know the VA is always hiring LPNs.

Yeh the va does hire lpns.... one of my friends works for an agency and makes about 30$/hr. I know a few nursing homes around my area start off close to 30$/hr or 32$/hr.

How did u hear about eastern? I heard it was a nice school and ran into some students when I was going for my interview. And they told me the program is good and u will b on a rn level but its hard to transfer credits.
