i think it's wonderful you are starting lvn/lpn school! don't allow people to hurt your feelings on here. i get mine hurt too easily and it's just not worth it. in my adn program, there are several lpn to rn students. boy, they know their stuff. such smart ladies and great mentors.

in one of my clinical rotations last year, an lpn took me under her wing. she showed me how to do a difficult dressing change and many other things. she was the only lpn on the floor and several rns, but i swear she ran the show!

    you're going to be great.

Thanks danibanani, I appreciate your comments.

Its overwhelming at first, being in school, then hearing all the comments, but I am working hard to fit in, and so are my classmates. Clinicals are starting next week and we are on pins and needles hoping that we can do our best and represent our teachers with pride.

Most of the medical people I've met have been wonderful, I will focus on that and let the others be. :spin:

That is the best advice that you can take. There will always be a negative comments, both in real life and on this forum, but you have to keep focused and not let that cloud the big picture which, as you say, is that most of us are good people.
