- Sep 18, '12 by pookypI know you really loathe mcfatter, but why don't you give their night program a try? There's one starting in April. Just a suggestion. Doesn't hurt to try. I also heard its more laid back than the day shift and they really help you out. Just a thought. That way you wont have to go to a private school and pay money out the behind. And maybe you can work a couple hours before school starts at 2:30. The program is $5600 total. Financial aid may pay for all or half of it at least. And the counselor said that they don't have a payment plan, but they work out something where you can pay half up front and have to pay the other half at the beginning of every semester. (financial aid might cover a chunk and you pay the other chunk.) So that gives you time to save up money before the next semester starts. Think about it. And clinicals are the same time as school. not before 2 and beyond 10 pm. Good luck.
- Sep 18, '12 by ASPIRING2BGREATHello pookyp,
Thanks for responding and thinking of me. I do have my options open and i'm not counting out McFatter. I do still have to get my math up in order to take the TEAS. I'm working on it, just registered for VPI 2 weeks ago.
Did you start a program yet? If so where and how do you like it?
Sometimes we have to just do it, to get to the next step. And, this math got me fearful and I just need to get over it and do it.
Thanks again! - Sep 18, '12 by pookypQuote from ASPIRING2BGREATI'm fearful too. I took VPI TWICE. Math is my least favorite subject. I always struggled with it growing up. But you know what? When you do the TEAS test, you need a 58.7. You have reading and language to do also. That 58.7% is the OVERALL score you need. I did good on English and Language and it outweighed my math. I got a 62.7% And I didn't do that great. You'll be fine.Hello pookyp,
