Anyone Applying for Wilbur Wright College in Chicago for LPN 2014?

New to this site and im excited about it, it looks like a very helpful site. I would like to know who out there is thinking about or already applied to the LPN Program at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago to start this Spring 2014? And if so, Did you take the required but feared:no: Teas V test? and what did you get? I'm nervous about it.

I to have applied for the 2014 lpn program... I have all my pre-req's done and I have a 3.3 GPA but I only scored a 56 on the TEAS test... We have exactly 3 weeks until the send out the emails saying if we made it... I'm so worried cause of my low TEAS score.

I haven't officially applied to the LPN program at Wright. I took the TEASE test and scored a 50!!:( I completed all my pre-req's and GPA is a 3.5. I would like to start in the Summer of 2014....I'm so discouraged at this point. I don't know if I should take the test over or go get some darn tutoring!

Did you end up getting into the program?

I am applying for the summer 2014 program and was wondering how the application process is.

I only have one course taken at Wright college and the rest of my classes I took at UIC.

It says I need a cumulative GPA at a city college.

Do you think I need more than one course at Wright college to get in?

You still have time to retake the TEAS again. The application isn't even up yet. Good luck!

Hi, just hoping someone can answer my question to this. I am thinking on applying to Wright college for LPN in January or June, depending on my work schedule. But just wondering if there is anyone that is it the program itself right now that can give me an insight on it? I was currently seeking to go for the RN Associates and have all but three of my pre req's to get into that program but since I have all to get into the LPN program just thought it would be a good idea to get in, and then take it from there to get my associates in nursing.

Anyones input is truly helpful! :)

I got a 62% on my 2nd attempt taking the Teas test and my GPA is 3.2 and I was accepted into the Summer program but could not attend due to not being eligible for loans because I already had an associates from KKC in May. Good Luck All!!!

I started in the June session this past summer. One thing I will say about the program is it is VERY disorganized. They constantly change our schedules around, teachers don't show up to classes or clinicals, and the administration is just a mess! There are probably only a handful of teachers and staff who try to help as much as possible. This program really teaches you to study and learn on your own. The send out informal, last minute announcements and expect the students to leap backwards to meet deadlines. I know many students who work while in the program, they go through hell with their work because of the constant changing of schedules in the program. According to CCC Medical Department, we are supposed to be moving to Malcolm X starting next year. Apparently, this will be postponing the RN classes to start at a later date. Most of us are in for the RN completion also. We are just hoping there will be some positive changes happening when we move to Malcolm X's campus. Sorry for the horror story, but I am just being honest.

Overall would you recommend the program?? I know they said that for Spring 15 the program will still be held at Wright, but for Fall 15, they're not sure since the plans to have all Healthcare at Malcolm X. Also how was the TEAS test for you?? I'm going to take it the end of September and applying for the LPN program right after, studying the Teas manual but I just want to know how hard/easy it was?? Passing rate should be around 76 % to get approved for the program. Your input would be truly helpful!!!
