Hey everyone,

Im taking Medical Surgical Nursing right now and I am wondering if anyone has any tips on remembering all the nursing interventions, treatments, diagnosis, etiology, etc.

If you used any acronyms,etc please let me know. I would love to use it to help me remember for exams.

Right now we are learning Hematology/Oncology, Immunology/HIV, Endocrine, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, and Musculoskeletal Conditions and Disorders.

Thank you!!!!! :confused::rolleyes::)

I am starting Intermediate Med-Surg next week, so this is what I did to remember all the lingo...

1. Read the chapter and highlight important info

2. After reading the chapter, go through and take notes on your highlights making sure that they can answer the objectives at the begining of the chapter.

3. Get with another student(s) in the class and teach the material to each other

4. To study for the test, go through and read your notes from class, reading, power points, etc three times

5. Invest in a Med-Surg reviews and rationals book...this gives you an outline of the information you need to learn. I would cross reference the info in this book with my notes.

All in all, I did really good in Begining Med-Surg last semester...ended up with a B for the class by doing just what I stated above...

HTH!
