I finally got accepted after 3 times of trying......I knew I would never give up! But now I am sooo nervous and I have no idea what to expect now! May you please give me some tips and help me out on what to expect? I am so nervous and excited!

I am in my 2nd level now of LPN school and so far what I can tell you, your best bet is to study every night or u will not be successful. Do you like to party or do anything fun on the weekends? u can kiss that goodbye for a while too because your weekends will more look like "yay its the weekend now I have 2 days to study"

Lol so true! That's exactly how I look at the weekends! I look forward to the 2 whole days to study

It is true about no more weekends! I occasionally get lucky and have nothing due the next week but I spend my weekend getting organized or ahead in some of my reading. My best advice is to know and let others know that your schooling takes priority. There may be times you have planned an outing and have to back out last minute due to unexpected work. But, that's nursing. You'll have easy days and bad days. Take it a day at a time!

You mind as well take two words out of your vocabulary "Fun" and "LIFE" until school is finished because you will not have one and like everyone else said, you will be excited to have two whole days to study lol because I get excited and look forward to those two whole days of studying. Also, do not expect the work to be easy however, you can do it, the program is intensed. FInd people to get cool with to go to clinicals, have study groups with or just in case you need help or ever miss class, and last but not least, good luck, congrats, and you can do it :)

yes nursing school is hard and it will take a lot of your freedom away but its not that bad. i am in the last term for my lpn degree and i am so happy im almost done! it was a hard journey but you can make it. first thing i suggest you do is get a monthly planner for school. write out every assignment that is due and all the test you have. stay organized! it is a lot to keep track of and it is a lot of work but you can do it. from my personal experience you just need to take it day by day. focus on your current assignment and test, do your best. its great to get ahead in your reading and studying but it is hard to find the time. second, manage your time! you'll be in lecture all day so when you get home give your self an hour to relax, maybe work out or some yoga to help you relax, or even nap! then block out a few hours every night for hw. put your cell phone away, stay away from distractions! when you do your hw and your studying stay hydrated, keep snacks near by (healthy hopefully lol) and when needed take a few mins to breathe and relax. third dont leave anything for last minute! most important tip! manage your time because cramming and doing that paper last minute will suck! and then lastly make good friends with your classmates. do not make enemies it will just make everything harder. you will be with these classmates non-stop and on top of it in clinical. help each other out, be there for each other because your friends and family wont understand the stress of being a lpn student, turn to your classmates and be there for them. trust me making friends helped me so much! we help each other study, stay focused and most importantly help each other in clinical. being a nurse is all about working together to get your patent what they need. and learning that early on will help you so much. avoid stupid drama because you will be so stressed with school work the last thing you need is your teachers on your case about stupid drama. good luck and i know you can do it! (keep telling yourself that even when you feel like you cant)

p.s. its okay to cry sometimes lol youre only human

Hello! First off I love love love you default pic! She is my all time fave! I am so excited and happy but scared at the same time! I also wish you the best...I too want to continue to adn and hopefully to bsn. I felt I had to do the lpn route first..I didnt want to overwhelm myself and my family. But I cant wait! I go to my nursing meeting tomorrow to find out the details and what things I need to buy like books..uniforms...kits etc....I will keep you guys posted. So stefonee356 where are you from? I am in Covington ga

Me too!!!! I LOVE Britney! I have already been to 3 of her concerts lol. Yeah same here.. I want to get my BSN if not higher, I just want to do it little by since I too have a family. Did you have to take any preentrance exams? if so what did you take? How is your GPA, if you don't mind me asking :) I am from Houston, TX. I actually considered moving to GA for a little bit since my in-laws live there. I was thinking about going to nursing school there but my husband wanted to stay in TX.

I thought I posted but I see it didnt post!! Anywasy I did take pre entrance exams. I had to take the TEAS test. The national average was 55.6 and I made a 66. I was 87th percentile rank (whatever that means) My gpa is a 3.4 I actually tried several times getting in and the3rd time I finally made it. I passed the TEAS all 3 times btw.

I freakin love her too! I have been to one concert. It was her circus tour....I loved it and I sang and danced the whole time. Im sure I looked stupid to others but I am a die hard Britney fan...cant help it!! I have all her cds I just love her music so much! I can relate to it as well. not to mention she is hot as hell!

I was wondering what your age is? I just turned 30 on October 19th. I still feel so young but I have decided to stay 26........sooooo haha!
