Re: What do you do with DISRUPTIVE classmates?
Hello, and welcome to the site!
This can be a big problem throughout school, for some. I deal with annoyance often in my classes. Reasons include disruptive people talking during lecture, scary-cliquey behavior from these so-called grown-ups, and just plain being tired of seeing the same people for 2.5 years straight. I assume from your post that this person/people drive you crazy not only during lecture, but all throughout the day as well. Well, I feel you, and while I probably can't help, I do empathize.
Solutions I have devised: Bring reading materials with you so you can withdraw from the social chaos without looking catatonic. Crosswords are good. You can read your textbooks, but people will probably assume you are not human or have some sort of diagnosable mental disease.
I have started wearing earplugs before class (my hair covers my ears), especially before tests when I'm trying to get that precious last review done. Wow, is that ever great. Ipods/walkmans/whatever work well, too.
