Typing test need to be hired for Unit Secretary?

Do you have to take a typing test in order to get hired for Unit Secretary? I'm sure you do just thought I'd ask? What is the starting salary for someone who is has no prior experience as unit secretary?

In my hospital, there is no typing test. They train you on the job.

Salaries will vary depending on your area.
