Timeline From Semester End to nclex

If I were to decide to take the pn-nclex after the 3rd semester of my RN program, what kind of timeline would I be looking at until I could actually work in an LPN capacity. Let's say my finals are the first week of May, can I work as a graduate until I pass the nclex? (I wouldn't really be "graduating" exactly.)
