Texas Careers LVN Program

Has anyone attended or graduated from Texas Careers LVN program? I'm scheduled to meet with a rep this afternoon to get more info about their evening LVN program, but I want to hear from anyone who has gone there...is this a good school? Is it expensive? It appealed to me because the rep told me over the phone that there is a night program, and it's 18 months long. I need to go to school at night, because I have no choice but to work. I'm also applying to SAC's RN evening program. Just want to keep my options open...

Thanks!

hey do you think working full time (day class) and then working 4 hours at night is possible? i mean i wanna be good at my grades if ever the class starts. but at the same time I have to take the day class and finish it in one year. just worried coz i heard LVN is pretty hard. needs lots of reading and self studies. i hope you can share your views on this.

Well, in response to your question about going to school during the day, and working four hours/night, IMO, it's possible if you really want it. It won't be easy, but it's doable. Motivation is the key! I'm planning to work full-time (days) and go to school at night...and I have a husband and two children. My husband is willing to help me out with the kids and housework...he's going to have to. I wish I could quit my day job and just go to school, but some of us have no choice!

As for Galen, I've heard it's a very good school, but the evening LVN program is longer than the one at Texas Careers...I think it's 21 months. I was interested in finishing sooner...the sooner the better. But I may just end up going to SAC's RN program. Still a little undecided...
