A soldier needs a litttle help with an LPN questions

by pmh27

Hi everybody my story is a complicated one to begin I'm a deployed soilder in Iraq right now who was in nursing school. Being in the military and going nursing school was a bad mix for me due to obvious obligations. So the questions is when I get back does anyone know is it possible for a person from IL to challenge the calif PN exam and work at the VA in chicago. I've think read as much literature as I can on it just want a few opinions from others. Any help this soldier would appreciate thanks.

If you were working as a medic in the military, then California will permit you to challenge the NCLEX-PN exam to become an LVN in their state. However, your licensure would only be limited to California.

Yes, you can work for the VA or any other federal facility like fed prison as a nurse provided you have a licensed. You might want to check out http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/method3.htm

If you qualify you can apply for Method 4:

Good Luck!
