it is finally here! i graduate from my lpn program on thursday. the longest 12 months of my life i must say and so happy it is over. i can finally start working full time again and doing what i really want to do. i have a great job and am working on finding a good online lpn to adn program. one more clinical day and finito!!!!!!!!!:biggringi

THANK YOU! No rest for the weary though-even with graduation finished, I have to keep practicing for NCLEX. Our school really prepped us for the test and I will practice nightly on my computer. I feel pretty comfortable but there are certain areas I need to brush up on (especially in some neuro disease processes that I keep having questions asked about). Anyhoo, just excited to the max, AND SO DARN TIRED! did it hit you like that when you finished????

The come down from the Practical Nursing program can be really intense. I was on red alert for so long, and by the time the program was over, I was completely burned out, then had to study for the state boards. I was on a full time leave with pay from my job, who also paid for my tuition to become a nurse, and had to return back to work almost immediately after graduation (two weeks). I was physically and emotionally exhausted, and it was hard for me to focus on NCLEX, so, after only two weeks of having been back to work, I took a month of sick leave and studied for the exam without interruption. I practiced from 150-300 questions per day, and read and reread material. Passed 6/3/06 with minimum questions and am now in orientation for my new position at my old job. It can be done, and best wishes to you!
