PRETTY PLZ!!! Can someone help me with a bridge question?

Nurses LPN/LVN

I was wondering if ANYONE knew if there were places you can bridge from LPN to RN if you went to a "vocational/trade school" ie. Concorde(in Denver Colorado)

I am debating to NO ENDS on what to do.....

To make a very long story short I was in the LPN progam at Concorde and my 15 y/o sister was killed in a car accident and I took a LOA and went back home to be with my family. Well in that time Concorde being Concorde sort of(well really!!!) screwed me :banghead:pretty much they changed all there people(no surprise it happens a lot) and decided LOA's were no longer going to happen and people were just going to have to reapply and OH COURSE the rates went up AGAIN. I am looking at pretty much paying a addtional 12-15k with loans/pell and but I will only pay about $1400 when I am in school.

Well I would only have ABOUT 6 MONTHS left then I would be all done BUT here is my problem.....

I am planning on going on for my ADN and I am wondering if ANYONE has been able to bridge from a LPN program like this onto a RN program without starting completely over???:imbar

Here is the other kicker to this drama!

I have the oppertunity to go STRAIGHT into a ADN program at a community college in August 09' so I am really beating myself up on what to do!!!

I would be done witht the LPN and already working by then but with the RN I of course wont be able to work for about 3yrs.

My goal is too be a RN but I would love to be able to work before 3yrs BUT if there is no chance at bridgeing over then I guess I will just have to wait

ALL EXPERIENCE AND ADVICE IS MORE THEN WELCOMED!!!

I'm in DFW, Texas. There are plenty of LVNs with trade school educations around here who were able to get admitted to RN bridge programs at community colleges and state universities. Of course, they had taken their prerequisite classes at accredited schools, not the trade school.

From what I have been able to find out it is the same here in Colorado as long as I get my Pre. reqs from a community college I would be fine I am just battling myself which is the "right" question :(
