Good luck. You wouldn't have made it through nursing school without knowing what the questions are going to be like, so you need to relax. Find a good study book or program and study. Breathe.

I used the book and CD "NCLEX Incredibly Easy" and found the questions on the exam to be formatted much in the same way. Take your time, think the choices through. Good luck!!!!!! :hatparty:

every test is different ...there are no 2 test alike but believe me if you truly learned all that was taught in class you should have no problem...my advice don't study the night before...go in take a deep ...read your questions thoroughly (cause some are tricky) and pick the answer that best goes with the question and you'll be a nurse in no time at all....good luck to you..you'll do great..chaching 43

I was really nervous too to take the boards and I just took them 17 months ago. My test had a lot about diet and religion on them, like, "If you had a muslim pt. die, what would be the first thing that you would do with the body?" and, "If you had a diabetic, lactose intolerant Jew, what would you feed them?" I was like, call dietary! But I took the minimum amount of questions and my computer shut off and I passed the first time. I also had a lot of OB. Not at all what I expected. I walked out thinking, "well I either did awesome or bombed." Good luck. :flowersfo

hi, i hope i'm not to late for you to get this reply. i started off as an lpn in1987,and got my rn in 1991. the best thing i could tell you is to have faith and trust in yourself and all you've learned.......it's all in there, you secondly must go into that exam with a calm mind and body, when a person is overly nervous or anxious our minds can become paralyzed with fear and doubt! god has apparently blessed you with the desire to become a nurse in the first place, being a nurse i feel it is not a job,but rather a gift....a gift from god. take peace and assurance..... he will see you through this. i know your going to make it,so just be the best nurse you can be and keep the spark within you always! mar

Lab values, that's interesting since many labs use different equipment which can give different values. Seems the BON is assuming every institution in the state has the same equipment.

Breathe, Stretch, Shake it off, and Let it go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stressing yourself about boards can cause you not to pass. Every test is different. Study your board materials as you would for any other test, and don't overstudy. Don't cram, and most of all, DON'T STRESS. Yes, I know it's easier said than done. Been there, done that. Above all the rest, have faith in yourself and God and you will be ok. I wish you all the luck in the world and I will pray for you to pass.
