So, I'm a new grad, and you what that is like these day trying to get a job.
Anyways I've been offered an "On Call" position at a local SNF. I am heistant about it, but The DON told me that 75% of the "on calls", end up in full/part time positions after a couple months.
So my question is, since right now this is an "employers market" do you think that places are hiring "on calls" to test new nurses out who they don't want to fully commit to until they see their performance?
It seems like about 75% of the jobs that I personally have been looking at, are for "On Call".
I think I am going to take it, because right now, i need anything to gain experience. I also have the best boss in the world at my other job that is going to be really flexible with my schedule! I feel things are looking up!

Well, I just need to buckle down and get experience. That's pretty much all I need with like the 100 jobs that turned me down. 
..They are going to give me a week worth of orientation, so hopefully I won't get to lost when I start, and on top of that it is a really SMALL place! Wish me luck! I need it.
