New LPN shoutin' out - any others want to rejoice?

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I just found out I passed my board on Monday! :nurse: The computer stopped @ 88 questions. I was surprised w/what I got as I didn't know the RX but felt comfortable w/most others... I hope to get my RN next year...and I'd love to work ER! I'm so excited and have felt such a looooong road that I can't believe it's here!

What is your story....and Congrats!

I graduated on Aug 8 and I am scheduled to take my nclex on Sept 8. I start my first LPN job on Aug 30 and in order to keep the job I have to pass the nclex. Can we say stressed. There is so much to go over from the past year I did great on the exit HESI but I have this fear that all the knowledge is going to leak out and I won't pass. I am glad that this torture will be over on the 8th. :(

Congratulations on passing and good luck in finding a job if you haven't already gotten one.:yeah:

Specializes in 6 Years Hematology and Oncology.

I graduated in Oct. 2010, had to wait until April 2011 to take my boards because genius here filled the paperwork out wrong twice...duh :D But I'm proud to say I passed and have to look forward to getting over an interview or 3 in a couple of weeks. I cant wait. I'm looking forward to starting my career, finally! :yeah:

You will do just fine. You passed your classess right? So, give yourself some credit, take a deep breath, and pass it like you know it because you do! ;)

Graduated August 5th... got my ATT on August 12th (contemplated accepting a testing appointment on August 13th!)... tested on August 22 and was convinced that I failed after the computer shut off at 85 very hard questions... got my unofficial quick results Pass on August 24th, license # showed on the TXBON website August 25th.

Going back for RN later on, but SO happy to have all of that behind me! :yeah:

Congrats to all those who have their test behind them as well and best of luck in any job hunting you do!

Congrats!!!!!:yeah: I've had my license for several months but can't find a JOB!!!!! :uhoh3:

Specializes in nothing special yet.
:nurse::yeah:Congratulations!!! I am 48 and just starting. Where are you located?

Hey I am 48 too. Just got home from my 2nd day on the job working with a practice of surgeons. There is alot to learn that they really don't prepare you for in school. I wish LPN students got to have some clinicals in doctors offices along with the hospital and nursing home.

Specializes in RN.

Got my LPN in January, worked lots of hours over the Summer, loved it, finishing up on my RN at the moment. CONGRATS! Great accomplishment, and a great feeling!!!

Took my boards on 08.23.11 and received license on 08.25.11 from the Texas Board of Nursing. Hallelujah! :bow:Long road...with juggling VN and BSN pre-reqs concurrently. Trying to find work is another issue; however, if I don't have anything else, I have a lot of faith! Congrats to all! :D
